Biography
Franz Seitz Jr. was a German film producer and screenwriter. He was born on 22 October 1921 in Munich, where he died on 19 January 2006. He is also credited as Franz Seitz Junior, Franz Seitz and Georg Laforet.
Seitz produced more than 70 films between 1951 and 2006. He is best known for his work on The Tin Drum (1979), for which he served as producer and co-wrote the screenplay with Volker Schlöndorff and Jean-Claude Carrière. He had previously collaborated with Schlöndorff as producer on Young Törless (1966).
