Biography
Fred Ross (1934–2026) was an American actor who appeared as himself in documentary films. He worked for 17 years at a General Motors plant in Flint, Michigan, before becoming a process server for the Genesee County Sheriff's Office.
Ross featured prominently in Michael Moore's Roger & Me (1989), in which he is shown carrying out evictions of families affected by plant closures. He also appeared as himself in Pets or Meat: The Return to Flint (1992) and in archive footage in Two Mikes Don't Make a Wright (1993).
A former Flint resident originally from Arkansas, Ross died in Smackover, Arkansas, on 10 January 2026, aged 91.
