Biography
Gareth Wiley is a British film producer born on 3 March 1962 in England. He began his career in investment banking, working at firms including County NatWest, Salomon Brothers and UBS Warburg, after studying business with economics and law. He entered film finance in the early 1990s and committed to film production full time from 2002.
Wiley is known for his collaborations with Woody Allen, producing Match Point (2005), Scoop (2006), Cassandra's Dream (2007) and Vicky Cristina Barcelona (2008). He persuaded Allen to film the first of these in London. He received a Golden Globe nomination for Match Point and won the award for Best Motion Picture – Musical or Comedy for Vicky Cristina Barcelona in 2009. His other credits include Comedown (2012) and executive producer roles on several independent films.
