Biography
Garrett Werner is a television writer. He has worked on the series Abbott Elementary (2021–), progressing through roles including writers' assistant, staff writer, story editor and executive story editor, and receiving writing credits on multiple episodes from 2023 onwards.
Werner has also written for Puppet History (2020–2025), Are You Scared? (2021–2024) and earlier series including BuzzFeed Unsolved: Supernatural. He grew up in Wisconsin and has received Writers Guild of America nominations for his work on Abbott Elementary, as well as a Humanitas Prize nomination for the episode 'Read-a-Thon'.
