Biography
Gemma Baker is an American television writer and producer. She studied theatre at the Tisch School of the Arts at New York University and worked as a stand-up performer and writer while holding an office job.
A chance meeting with producer Chuck Lorre led to her first television writing position as a staff writer on Two and a Half Men (2003), where she contributed stories and teleplays from 2011 to 2013 and served as story editor. She co-created the CBS sitcom Mom (2013) with Lorre and Eddie Gorodetsky, serving as writer, executive producer and co-showrunner across its eight seasons.
Baker later worked as consulting producer on Kenan (2021–2022) and as co-executive producer and writer on Happy's Place (2024–).
