Biography
Gene Coffin was an American costume designer who worked in film and on Broadway. Born in 1905, he died in New York City in 1977.
He received costume design credits on the films Lolita (1962) and The Producers (1967). Other film work includes Bananas (1971), The Anderson Tapes (1971) and The Yellow Rolls-Royce (1964). He also designed costumes for several Broadway productions in the 1950s and 1960s, including Dear Charles (1954), Someone Waiting (1956) and The 49th Cousin (1960). Earlier credits include television series such as The United States Steel Hour.
