Biography
Geneviève Page was a French actress. Born Geneviève Bonjean in Paris on 13 December 1927, she died in Paris on 14 February 2025. She appeared in films from 1951 to 2003 and maintained a long stage career from the 1940s.
She trained at the Conservatoire and began in theatre, including work at the Théâtre National Populaire. Her film roles include the Marquise de Pompadour in Fanfan la Tulipe (1952), Princess Urraca in El Cid (1961), Monique Delvaux-Sarti in Grand Prix (1966), Madame Anais in Belle de Jour (1967), Gabrielle Valadon in The Private Life of Sherlock Holmes (1970) and Geneviève Léonard in Buffet Froid (1979). She also appeared in English-language productions.
Page was married to Jean-Claude Bujard from 1959 until his death in 2011. She received a National Society of Film Critics nomination for her performance in Belle de Jour.
