Biography
George Barnes, also credited as George Freeman Barnes, was an American actor. He appeared in early silent films and on the Broadway stage in productions including Robert Emmet (1902), Audrey (1902), The Spenders (1903), Cousin Billy (1905), The Witching Hour (1907), A Little Brother of the Rich (1909) and At Bay (1913).
His film credits include an uncredited role in The Great Train Robbery (1903) and appearances in Pocahontas (1910), Hypnotized (1910), What Might Have Been (1913), Cardinal Richelieu's Ward (1914) and several other shorts through the mid-1910s. He was born on 29 January 1880 and died on 20 July 1951.
