Biography
George Dunn (born Ollen George Dunn) was an American actor and former vaudeville performer. Born in Brownwood, Texas, he moved to New York City for vaudeville work before relocating to Hollywood, where he appeared in more than twenty-five films and over one hundred television episodes, often in minor or uncredited roles.
He is known for his appearances in John Cassavetes films, including the role of the Comedian (credited as George Dunne) in Faces (1968) and Garson Cross in A Woman Under the Influence (1974). Other film credits include the uncredited Airport Mechanic in Zabriskie Point (1970), Sam Jefferson in The Beguiled (1971), and an uncredited role in The Shootist (1976). Dunn also had television roles in series such as Bonanza, Starsky & Hutch, and Cimarron City.
His final screen appearance was in The Shootist (1976). He died in Los Angeles, California, in 1982.
