Biography
George Eastman, born Luigi Montefiori, was an Italian actor and screenwriter. He trained at the Centro Sperimentale di Cinematografia in Rome and began his career in the mid-1960s, adopting the stage name George Eastman for roles as a heavy in spaghetti westerns.
He appeared as the Minotaur in Federico Fellini's Satyricon (1969). Eastman collaborated frequently with director Joe D'Amato as both actor and screenwriter, notably in Anthropophagous (1980). He also worked with Pupi Avati on Christmas Present (1986) and Christmas Rematch (2004), and contributed screenplays including for Keoma (1976). His tall stature often led to villainous or imposing roles across genres.
Eastman was active from 1966 to 2004 and later focused on screenwriting for Italian television.
