Biography
George H. Xanthis is an Australian actor and producer. Born in September 1989 in Earlwood, Sydney, he worked in theatre for several years before securing paid television roles. He produced and starred as Leo Cassevetes in the web series SYD2030 (2012–2015), which earned him a Webby Award.
Xanthis is best known for playing John the Apostle in the series The Chosen (2019–). His other credits include Rohan Asad in Deep Water (2016), various roles in Open Slather (2015), George Stephanopoulos in Impeachment: American Crime Story (2021), Stavros Gatakis in WeCrashed (2022) and Petar in The Accursed (2021). He is of Greek Orthodox heritage.
