Biography
George Kosana (22 December 1935 – 30 December 2016) was an American actor. He played Sheriff McClelland in George A. Romero's Night of the Living Dead (1968), in which he also served as production manager and was one of the film's investors.
Born in Clairton, Pennsylvania, Kosana worked as a steelworker and ex-Marine, and held a degree in multimedia photography from the Art Institute of Pittsburgh. He appeared in further films including There's Always Vanilla (1971) and The Booby Hatch (1976), and reprised the sheriff role in My Uncle John is a Zombie (2016).
