Biography
George Scribner is an American artist, director and animator. Born on 28 September 1952 in Panama City, Panama, he attended The Bolles School in Florida and majored in film at Emerson College in Boston. He began his career in animation at Hanna-Barbera Productions before joining Walt Disney Feature Animation in the mid-1980s as a character animator on The Black Cauldron (1985).
Scribner directed the Disney animated feature Oliver & Company (1988) and the short The Prince and the Pauper (1990). He contributed additional story material to The Lion King (1994) and later worked as an animation contractor for Walt Disney Imagineering, directing projects including Mickey's PhilharMagic (2003) and Disneyland: The First 50 Magical Years (2005).
