Biography
Georges D'Arnoux, also credited as Georges Saint-Saëns or Georges Darnoux, was a French actor and assistant director. He was born Roger Georges Daniel Jean Pierre d'Arnoux on 16 March 1907 in Paris and died there on 24 December 1955.
He appeared uncredited as Un invité à la noce in Jean Renoir's Boudu Saved from Drowning (1932), on which he also worked uncredited as assistant director. He played Henri in Renoir's A Day in the Country (1946, released 1950) and had an uncredited role in Chotard et Cie (1933). He served as assistant director on Toni (1935) and The Crime of Monsieur Lange (1936).
D'Arnoux was also a racing driver and directed the 1948 short film Où mène l'autobus. He was the grandson of the illustrator and caricaturist Charles-Albert d'Arnoux, known as Bertall.
