Biography
Gerald Kerkletz is an Austrian cinematographer. Born in Graz in 1975, he studied graphic design and later attended the Vienna Film Academy in the field of image technology and camera.
He began working as a freelance cinematographer in 2005, with a focus on documentary and feature films. His diploma film was Stillleben (2011), directed by Sebastian Meise. Kerkletz has collaborated regularly with director Markus Schleinzer on Michael (2011), Angelo (2018) and Rose (2026). Other credits include Soldier Jane (2013) and Tomcat (2016). He has also worked as a producer on several projects.
Kerkletz is a member of the Academy of Austrian Film and has received awards for his cinematography, including Diagonale prizes for image design.
