Biography
Gérard Lorin (1927–2000) was a French actor and producer. Born in Paris, he appeared in supporting roles in films directed by Alain Resnais, including Last Year at Marienbad (1961) as a character from the hotel, Muriel, or the Time of Return (1963) as Marc, and Je t'aime, je t'aime (1968) as the dentist.
He also acted in The Wing or the Thigh? (1976) as the dentist of Duchemin and I... for Icarus (1979) as Flavius. Lorin worked as a producer on The Story of O (1975) and other films. He had a background in theatre, performing with the Centre dramatique de l'Ouest in the late 1940s and early 1950s, and was married to actress Françoise Bertin.
