Biography
Germaine Lix, also credited as Germaine Justine Sigoillot, was a French actress and singer. She appeared in supporting roles in several French films of the 1930s and early 1940s, including as La chanteuse in Marcel Carné's Daybreak (1939).
Born in Paris in 1893, she began her career on stage with a theatre appearance in 1923 and made her film debut in the early 1930s. Her other credits include Notre-Dame d'amour (1936) as Félicité Pastorel, Si tu reviens (1938), Romance de Paris (1941) as Madame Lourmel, and Le Prince charmant (1942). She also released a number of recordings as a singer between 1927 and 1939.
Lix died in Richebourg, Yvelines, in 1986.
