Biography
Germán Cobos (1927–2015) was a Spanish actor of film and theatre. Born Germán Sánchez Hernández-Cobos in Sevilla, he was the son of stage actor Fernando Cobos. He trained at the Escuela de Arte Dramático and the Escuela Oficial de Cinematografía in Madrid, and began his career in the early 1950s with roles in films such as La leona de Castilla (1951) and Vuelo 971 (1953).
He appeared in nearly a hundred films across several decades, including Un taxi para Tobruk (1961), Cría cuervos (1976) as Nicolás, and La ley del deseo (1987) as El Cura. Cobos also worked extensively in theatre and on Spanish television series such as Aquí no hay quien viva (2003) and Arrayán (2001–2005). He was married to Visitación Peralta.
