Biography
Gilbert Cruz is an American actor. He has appeared in numerous television series, including multiple episodes of Law & Order (1990–2025) in roles such as Ron Moffitt, Lopez, Mel Hamed and others, and guest parts in Law & Order: Special Victims Unit, The Blacklist (as Chef Guillermo), House of Cards, Person of Interest, Elementary, FBI (as Carlos Cuellar) and The Walking Dead: World Beyond (as Dr. Ebersol).
His film credits include A Guide to Recognizing Your Saints (2006), Sex and the City (2008), Exposed (2016) and Christy (2025), in which he plays Miguel Diaz. He has also worked as additional crew and in music departments on several productions. Cruz won a Jury Prize for Best Supporting Actor in a Short Film at the Overcome Film Festival in 2022.
