Biography
Gina Lucita Monreal is a television writer and producer. She began her career in the Chicago theatre community, where she wrote, acted and directed, with her play Jack-in-the-Box produced at the Chicago Shakespeare Theater. She co-founded the Infamous Commonwealth Theatre and later earned an MFA in Writing for Screen & Television from USC.
Monreal participated in the CBS Writers’ Mentoring Program, the NHMC Writers Program, NBC’s Writers on the Verge and the Disney/ABC Writing Fellowship. She started in television on Brothers & Sisters before joining NCIS (2003), where she wrote and produced for ten seasons. Her other credits include episodes of Star Wars: The Bad Batch, Griselda and Paradise. She co-created and co-showran NCIS: Origins.
