Biography
Gina Wendkos is a screenwriter and producer. Born on 2 October 1954 in Florence, Italy, she began her career in theatre as a playwright and performance artist, receiving a National Endowment for the Arts grant for playwriting. She later wrote for television series including Can't Hurry Love (1995–1996), which she created, and contributed episodes to other shows.
Her feature film credits include the screenplay for Coyote Ugly (2000). She also wrote the screenplay for The Princess Diaries (2001) and The Perfect Man (2005), and provided the story for The Princess Diaries 2: Royal Engagement (2004). Later work includes the screenplay for Tiger Within (2020).
