Biography
Giorgio Papi (1917–2002) was an Italian film producer and production manager. He began working in production management in the 1940s and served as production manager on Black Magic (1949).
Papi met Orson Welles during the production of Black Magic and acted as associate producer on Welles's Othello (1951). In 1964 he co-founded Jolly Film with Arrigo Colombo and produced A Fistful of Dollars (1964), directed by Sergio Leone. He later produced Sacco & Vanzetti (1971), Violent City (1970) and Grand Slam (1967). Papi was a member of the jury at the 1972 Cannes Film Festival.
