Biography
Gleb Aleksandrovich Strizhenov was a Soviet stage and film actor. He was born in Voronezh in 1925 and died in Moscow in 1985. A participant in the Great Patriotic War, he later trained at the Moscow Art Theatre School-Studio, graduating in 1953, and worked in theatres across the Soviet Union before joining the Film Actor's Studio Theatre in 1962.
Strizhenov appeared in numerous films from the late 1950s onwards. He is credited as the Colonel in The Red and the White (1967). Other roles include appearances in The Elusive Revengers (1967), The Garage (1979), Oblomov (1980) and To the Stars by Hard Ways (1981). He was named Honoured Artist of the RSFSR in 1974. He was the elder brother of actor Oleg Strizhenov.
