Biography
Glenn Tryon (born Glenn Monroe Kunkel) was an American actor, screenwriter, director and producer. He appeared in more than 60 films between 1923 and 1951.
Born on 2 August 1898 in Juliaetta, Idaho, Tryon began in vaudeville and stage work before joining Hal Roach Studios. He starred in silent comedies including Lonesome (1928) and later contributed to screenplays such as Sons of the Desert (1933), Roberta (1935) and Room Service (1938). He also directed and produced films in the 1930s and 1940s.
Tryon was married to actresses Lillian Hall and Jane Frazee. He died on 18 April 1970 in Orlando, Florida.
