Biography
Goliardo Padova (1909–1979) was an Italian painter who also worked occasionally as an actor. Born in Casalmaggiore, he studied at the Istituto d'Arte in Parma and the Accademia di Brera in Milan. He was associated with the Chiarismo movement in the 1930s and later explored informal and surrealist styles.
In 1964 he appeared as the painter in Bernardo Bertolucci's Before the Revolution, a role secured through his friendship with the director's father, the poet Attilio Bertolucci. He died in Parma.
