Biography
Göte Lovén was a Swedish composer, guitarist and singer. Born Göte Sigvard Lovén on 16 June 1922 in Orsa, Dalarnas län, he died on 8 April 2019 in Skärholmen, Stockholm.
He made his debut in 1939 as a member of the quartet Hala Hem. During the 1950s and 1960s he performed with Radioorkestern under conductors William Lind and Willard Ringstrand, and appeared in radio programmes alongside musicians including Ricke Lööw and Giovanni Jaconelli. He was also a member of the house band for the television programme Hylands hörna and Hasse Tellemar’s Refrängen.
Lovén contributed original music to the 1957 film Wild Strawberries, directed by Ingmar Bergman, alongside Erik Nordgren.
