Biography
Gotthard Lange is a German actor. He was born on 9 December 1967 in Geseke, North Rhine-Westphalia.
Lange trained as an actor from 1989 to 1991 with Martin Horn. From 1990 to 1995 he performed in productions directed by Einar Schleef at the Schauspielhaus Frankfurt, the Berliner Ensemble and the Schillertheater Berlin. He has appeared in numerous German stage, film and television productions.
His film credits include Enemy at the Gates (2001), What to Do in Case of Fire? (2001), Black Death (2010), Three (2010) and The Book Thief (2013), in which he played the Grave Digger. He also featured in the television film Barfuß bis zum Hals (2009), which received the German Comedy Prize in 2010.
