Biography
Grace Hayes (also credited as Grace Delores Hayes) was an American actress and singer. She appeared in vaudeville and on Broadway in shows including The Merry World (1926), A Night in Spain (1927) and Ballyhoo of 1930 (1930–31). Her film roles include Florrie Moran in Babes in Arms (1939) and an appearance as herself in Zis Boom Bah (1941).
Hayes also acted in Caged (1950), as an uncredited Mugging Matron, and in other films such as Rainbow Over Broadway (1933) and Always Leave Them Laughing (1949). She operated nightclubs including the Grace Hayes Lodge in Los Angeles and, from 1940, the Red Rooster (later renamed the Grace Hayes Lodge) in Las Vegas. She was the mother of actor Peter Lind Hayes.
