Biography
Grant Chang is an American actor and director. He was born in New York City on 15 February 1979 and is a graduate of New York University, where he studied East Asian Studies and Educational Theatre. He trained at HB Studio and has a background in musical theatre.
Chang is known for his recurring role as Grant, Whiterose’s assistant, in the series Mr. Robot (2016–2017). His other television credits include appearances in Law & Order (1990), The Blacklist (2013), Marvel’s Daredevil (2015), Deception (2018) and Law & Order: Organized Crime (2021). On stage he played the lead in the co-production of The Great Leap by East West Players and Pasadena Playhouse, for which he received the Los Angeles Drama Critics Circle Award for Lead Performance in 2019 and an Ovation Award nomination.
In 2015 Chang made his directorial debut with the short film Finding You, which won him awards for Best Actor and Best Director at the Asian American International Film Festival.
