Biography
Gustav Botz was a German actor. He began his career in theatre, with his first engagement in Kaiserslautern in 1884, followed by work in Dresden, Koblenz, Basel and, from 1909, Berlin.
Botz entered film in 1914 and appeared in numerous silent productions. He is known for his role as Professor Sievers in F. W. Murnau's Nosferatu (1922) and an appearance in Fritz Lang's Dr. Mabuse, the Gambler (1922). His last film was Mein Leopold (1924). He retired owing to an eye disease and died in 1932.
