Biography
Guy Woolfenden was an English composer and conductor. He served as head of music at the Royal Shakespeare Company from 1963 to 1998, composing incidental music for more than 150 productions, including scores for every play in the Shakespeare canon.
Woolfenden studied at Westminster Abbey Choir School and Cambridge University before joining the RSC in 1961. His film and television scores include Work Is a Four-Letter Word (1968), the 1968 film of A Midsummer Night's Dream, and the 1992 BBC production of A Doll's House. He received an OBE in 2007.
