Biography
Hamid Reza Ashtianipoor is an Iranian film director, producer, screenwriter and voice actor. Born on 28 August 1963 in Tehran, he holds a BA in cinema from the University of Art and an MA in acting and directing from Tarbiat Modares University.
He is known for directing and producing Sharks (1995), Flames of Wrath (1993) and A Girl Named Tondar (2000). He also worked as production designer on Jafar Panahi’s The White Balloon (1995). Ashtianipoor has been married to Fakhereh Mohammadi Fakurzadeh since 1986 and they have two children.
