Biography
Hannah McMechan is a screenwriter. She studied screenwriting at Loyola Marymount University, graduating in 2018, where she met her frequent writing partner Danya Jimenez. The pair began collaborating during their time at university and later attended the Sundance Screenwriters Lab.
McMechan co-wrote the screenplay for the animated film KPop Demon Hunters (2025) with Jimenez. She has also contributed to television series including Gabby Duran & The Unsittables (2021) and worked on the series Brothers (2026). Earlier credits include several short films such as Ladyhood (2016), which she wrote and directed.
