Biography
Hans Schneeberger (1895–1970) was an Austrian cinematographer. He trained as a camera assistant and worked frequently with director Arnold Fanck on mountain films during the 1920s, including The Holy Mountain (1926) and The White Hell of Pitz Palu (1929). He was part of the group known as the Freiburger Schule.
Schneeberger served as cinematographer on The Blue Angel (1930). He contributed to more than eighty films across Austria, Germany and elsewhere, later working for Wien-Film and providing uncredited photography for The Third Man (1949). His credits also include The Blue Light (1932) and The Man Between (1953).
