Biography
Hans Tórgarð is a Faroese actor, director and dramatist. He grew up in Kvívík in the Faroe Islands. His father was the priest and translator Axel Tórgarð. Tórgarð obtained a Master of Arts in theatre at Teaterhögskolan in Helsinki, Finland, in 1999. He has performed numerous roles on stage at the Faroese National Theater since 1991 and has worked as a voice actor in Faroese radio plays and children's television.
Tórgarð is known for his role as the engineer Dvalinn in the Icelandic television series Trapped (2015–2016). Other screen credits include the feature film A Faraway Land (2021) as Sigmund Garðalíð and the series Trom (2022) as Haraldur Martinsson.
