Biography
Harold Becker (born 25 September 1928) is an American film director and producer. He studied art and photography at the Pratt Institute in New York and began his career as a stills photographer before directing television commercials and short films.
Becker made his feature debut with The Ragman's Daughter (1972). His subsequent films include The Onion Field (1979), Taps (1981), Vision Quest (1985), Sea of Love (1989), Malice (1993), City Hall (1996) and Mercury Rising (1998). He has also produced several of his later features.
