Biography
Harry C. Neumann (also credited as Harry Neuman, Harry Newman or Harry C. Newmann) was an American cinematographer whose career spanned more than forty years from the silent era to the late 1950s. Born in Chicago, Illinois, he began working as a director of photography in 1918 and contributed to around 350 productions, many of them Westerns and gangster films.
Neumann served as director of photography on The Phenix City Story (1955). His later credits include The Maze (1953) and The Wasp Woman (1959). He also photographed episodes of television series including The Court of Last Resort, The Adventures of Champion and Death Valley Days. He was a member of the American Society of Cinematographers.
