Biography
Hart Hanson (born Hartwick David Hanson, 26 July 1957) is an American-born television writer and producer. His family moved to Canada when he was a child. He holds a BA from the University of Toronto and an MFA from the University of British Columbia.
Hanson began his career writing for Canadian series including North of 60 (1992), Road to Avonlea (1990) and Traders. He later worked on American productions such as Stargate SG-1 (1997), The Outer Limits (1995), Judging Amy (1999) and Joan of Arcadia (2003). He is best known as the creator, writer and executive producer of Bones (2005–2017), and also created its spin-off The Finder (2012) and Backstrom (2015).
