Biography
Harvey Korman was an American comedic actor. Born Harvey Herschel Korman on 15 February 1927 in Chicago, Illinois, he died on 29 May 2008. He began performing in television and film productions in 1960. His early break came as a featured performer on The Danny Kaye Show.
Korman is best known for his regular role on the sketch comedy series The Carol Burnett Show and for appearances in several films directed by Mel Brooks. These include Hedley Lamarr in Blazing Saddles (1974), Count de Monet in History of the World: Part I (1981) and Dr Jack Seward in Dracula: Dead and Loving It (1995). He played Professor Auguste Balls in Curse of the Pink Panther (1983) and voiced characters including Ali, the Dicabird and Blossom's adopted doll son Ali in The Flintstones (1994). He also provided voices for the original The Flintstones television series, including The Great Gazoo.
