Biography

Héctor Díaz is an Argentine actor working in film, television and theatre. Born in Buenos Aires on 17 March 1966, he began studying acting in the early 1990s after enrolling at the Escuela de Psicodrama de Eduardo Pavlovsky while at the University of Buenos Aires. He later trained with directors including Pompeyo Audivert and Ricardo Bartís.

Díaz has appeared in numerous films, including Glue (2006), Extraordinary Stories (2008) as Salamone, The Summit (2017) as Hoffmann, La Flor (2018) as Ricky and Argentina, 1985 (2022) as Basile. Television credits include Casados con Hijos (2005) as Vendedor and more recent series such as Santa Evita (2022). He has also directed several television specials and maintains an extensive stage career with roles in works by Rafael Spregelburd and others.

His theatre work has earned nominations and awards, including the Premio Trinidad Guevara for best leading actor in 2003.
