Biography
Henri Serre was a French actor. He was born on 26 February 1931 in Sète, Hérault, and died on 9 October 2023 in Saint-Jean-du-Bruel, Aveyron.
Serre is best known for playing Jim in François Truffaut’s Jules and Jim (1962). He also appeared in Le Combat dans l’île (1962), The Fire Within (1963), Fantomas vs. Scotland Yard (1967), Special Section (1975) and The French Revolution (1989). He worked with directors including Louis Malle and Costa-Gavras, and had roles in television films and series such as Moi, général de Gaulle (1990).
He began his career performing in Parisian cabarets and also appeared in theatre.
