Biography
Henrik Mestad is a Norwegian actor. He trained at Statens teaterhøgskole (1988–1991) and has been employed by Nationaltheatret since his debut there in 1991.
On stage he has appeared in numerous productions, including roles in works by Ibsen and Strindberg; he received the Heddaprisen in 2011 for his performance in Faderen. He has also written and performed his own plays at the theatre. His screen credits include the films Svarte pantere (1992), Sønner (2006) and Børning (2014), for which he won Amandaprisen awards for best supporting actor, and television series such as Lilyhammer (2012–2014) as Lars Olafsen, Occupied (2015–2019) and Norsemen (2016–2020).
