Biography
Hikaru Hoshi was a Japanese actor and director, also credited as 星光 and Takehiro Yuasa. He was born on 26 October 1907.
He appeared in numerous Japanese films from the late 1920s, with supporting roles including Kimura in Yasujirō Ozu's Floating Weeds (1959), a soldier in Kon Ichikawa's Fires on the Plain (1959), Kurosawa in Giants and Toys (1958) and the Awaji Maru Captain in Gamera vs. Barugon (1966). He also directed the 1931 film Uramachi tengoku.
