Biography
Himani Shivpuri is an Indian actress known for character roles in Hindi films and television. Born in Dehradun on 24 October 1960, she trained at the National School of Drama, graduating in 1982, after earlier studies including a postgraduate degree in organic chemistry. She began her career in theatre before making her film debut in Ab Ayega Mazaa (1984).
She gained prominence with supporting parts in films such as Hum Aapke Hain Koun..! (1994), Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge (1995) as Simran's aunt, Kuch Kuch Hota Hai (1998), Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham (2001) and Bodyguard (2011). Shivpuri has also appeared regularly in Indian television series.
