Biography
Hind Rostom, also credited as Hend Rostom or هند رستم, was an Egyptian actress. She was born Nariman Hussein Mohammed Murad on 12 November 1929 in Alexandria, Egypt, and died on 8 August 2011 in Cairo.
She began her career in the late 1940s and gained prominence with a role in Banat el Lail (1955). Rostom is best known for her performance as Hanuma in Youssef Chahine's Cairo Station (1958). She appeared in more than 80 films, including Ibn Hamido (1957), Sleepless (1958) and Struggle in the Nile (1959). Rostom retired from acting in 1979.
