Biography
Hoon Lee is an American actor known for work in theatre, film and television. Also credited as Tong Hoon Lee, he was born on 18 July 1973 in Plymouth, Massachusetts. He graduated from Harvard University in 1994 with degrees in English literature and environmental studies.
Lee began his career on stage, appearing in the 2001 Broadway production of Urinetown. He later played the King of Siam in the Lincoln Center revival of The King and I and received a Theatre World Award for his performance in Yellow Face. On screen, he is known for the role of Job in the series Banshee (2013–2016), Wang Chao in Warrior (2019–2023), Toad in See (2021), and Barney Choi in Your Friends & Neighbors (2025–). He has also provided voices for animated series including Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (2012–2017) as Splinter and Rise of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (2018–2020) as Shredder.
