Biography
Hope Hanafin is an American costume designer. Born in North Carolina, she was raised in New York City and San Diego, California. She earned a B.A. with honours from Santa Clara University and an M.F.A. in costume design from New York University.
She began her career designing for ballet, opera and theatre in New York before moving into film and television. Her credits include the feature films Bean (1997), (500) Days of Summer (2009), Dolphin Tale (2011), Here Comes the Boom (2012) and Love the Coopers (2015), as well as the series The Newsroom (2012–2013). She has received Emmy nominations and a Costume Designers Guild Award.
