Biography
Ignacio Mateos is a Spanish actor born on 28 April 1979 in Málaga, Andalucía. He trained at the Escuela Alicia Hermida in Madrid and other acting schools, and worked in Paris with Ariane Mnouchkine's troupe and at the École Philippe Gaulier. He began his career in theatre and made his television debut in 2003 in the series Arrayán.
Mateos is known for his leading role as Pablo Picasso in La banda Picasso (2012). He appeared in a cameo as the Fotógrafo plaza in Blancanieves (2012) and has credits in La mula (2013), Lejos del mar (2015), Animales sin collar (2018), Quién te cantará (2018), Who Would You Take to a Deserted Island? (2019), The Cover (2021) and On the Fringe (2022). He received a nomination for Best Supporting Actor at the 2019 Feroz Awards for Animales sin collar and the Silver Biznaga at the Málaga Film Festival in 2020 for his career.
