Biography
Igor Jijikine is a Russian-American actor. Born Igor Vitalievich Jijikine on 8 October 1965 in Moscow, he studied drama and acrobatics from 1983 to 1988 and completed military service with the Soviet Spetsnaz unit between 1982 and 1984. He performed with the Moscow State Circus, Donn Arden’s “Jubilee” and Cirque du Soleil’s “Mystère” in Las Vegas.
Jijikine is known for playing Colonel Antonin Dovchenko in Steven Spielberg’s Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull (2008). His other film credits include The Tourist (2010) as Virginsky and Safe (2012) as Chemyakin. He has also appeared in television series such as Alias (2001) and Burn Notice (2007).
