Biography
Iman Vellani is a Canadian actress and comics writer. Born on 12 August 2002 in Karachi, Sindh, Pakistan, she moved to Canada at the age of one and was raised in Markham, Ontario. She graduated from Unionville High School and was a member of the TIFF Next Wave Committee at the 2019 Toronto International Film Festival.
Vellani made her screen acting debut as Kamala Khan / Ms. Marvel in the Disney+ miniseries Ms. Marvel (2022). She reprised the role in the Marvel Cinematic Universe film The Marvels (2023). She has also co-written two Ms. Marvel limited comic series.
